Our community education program begins with teaching free CPR.

Did you know that 88% of all sudden cardiac arrests take place in the home? VBVRS volunteers need your help! With the free CPR and First Aid training we offer our community, you can be trained by our skilled, experienced member CPR instructors. They’ll give you the confidence to step out of your comfort zone and help someone—possibly a loved one— survive a sudden cardiac arrest.

The American Heart Association’s (AHA) Family & Friends® CPR teaches adult, child, and infant CPR with AED use and relief of choking. First Aid teaches general principals, trauma and medical emergency care, and what to do in environmental situations.

This class is perfect for:

  • new moms
  • church groups
  • scouts
  • babysitters
  • and anyone interested in “knowing what to do.”

Did You Know…

In 2013, the City of Virginia Beach had 31 successful cardiac arrest conversions. This means that 31 people were able to return to their loved ones.
